Description
Opened in 1996, Tides Converge (formerly Tides Thoreau Center for Sustainability) is a thriving 150,000 square foot nonprofit center located in the historic Presidio National Park in San Francisco, California. Tides Converge has flexible workspace for nonprofits and social enterprises, as well as a cafe, two community-focused art galleries, and bright, inspiring meeting and event space.
Tides has launched a coworking membership program to provide affordable, collaborative workspace for staff of early-stage or small nonprofits or social enterprises.
Members work side-by-side with other forward-thinking changemakers and have access to all of the amenities Tides Converge offers its other community members: wifi, communal kitchen with coffee bar, mailboxes, drop-in phone booths, conference room access, copying and printing services, secure bike storage, and locker room access. Members also get to plug into the existing vibrant community of 450+ changemakers who work at the other 75+ organizations onsite, including a community listserv for sharing job/volunteer postings, vendor recommendations, or news/updates that impact the social justice space, as well as invitations and discounts to workshops, speaker series, and conferences hosted onsite and elsewhere in the Bay Area.
Our competitive selection process identifies those who will reap the greatest value from the program and actively contribute to its vibrant community. The program is able to accommodate both individual staff (great for remote workers of large organizations) and small teams.
